The Yorkshire Calendar

The Yorkshire Film Archive has come up with a great new way to share more gems from our regional film collections with you.

Each week, the Yorkshire Calendar will bring you sixty seconds of archive film footage to remind you of the people, places, traditions and events that make Yorkshire so special. Whether it’s a grand opening, a royal visit, or just a fun day out for the family on the beach at Scarborough or Filey, the Yorkshire Film Archive have selected a variety of film clips from their collections to look back on and enjoy great memories, every week of the year.

You can see films from previous months below, and add any comments or stories you might have to share - we’d love to hear them.

We would like to thank our innovative design partners Bright White Ltd for their great collaboration in developing this web app, and Welcome to Yorkshire for helping us to launch the Calendar on Yorkshire Day, 1st August 2011.
